The bride and groom each have a small decanter of wine. Together, they pour the wine into a special glass. They drink the wine, toasting each other as a symbol of their love and future together. Parents can also take part, symbolizing the joining of these two families.
The two different color sands represent the bride and groom as two separate people. As they pour the sand into the center vessel, the colors layer and blend.
